Hello from Pastor Ted Stepp!

Thank you for your interest in learning more about our church and my family. We hope to see you come and worship with us. This part of our site gives you some information about me as a Pastor and my family. I have been a minister of the gospel for the past 17 years with over 11 years of Pastoral experience. I have served as a Youth Pastor at Rosemount Road Church of the Nazarene, and Highland Bend Christian Baptist. My family and I have also spent some time doing evangelistic work. Prior to Grace, I served as Senior Pastor of the Monterey Wesleyan Church in Monterey, TN. I am overjoyed to be the current Lead Pastor of Ashland Grace Church of the Nazarene. What you may not know, is that Grace invested in me as a teenager, before I even realized the calling God would place on my life. I was a young kid who didn’t feel like he had a place where he could belong. As a teenager, Grace gave me that place where I could belong. Now as Pastor, it is my prayer that you will find your place here at Grace just like I did so many years ago.

Our Family

My wife Emily and I have been married for over 14 years. We are very much a team! We love doing ministry and life together. We have 3 sons: Elisha (11yrs) , Jeremiah (10yrs), and Isaiah (8yrs). We value service in God’s Kingdom and try to instill the heart of a servant in our children. We love people. We want you to know that you are loved by an amazing God and would love to help you grow more in your faith.

Hobbies : Hiking and exploring Nature , Grilling on my Blackstone Grill , Reading, Collecting Board Games especially Monopoly Personality Traits : Outgoing, Energetic , Funny , Compassionate, Organized , Hardworking, Goal Oriented Gifts: Preaching , Teaching, Evangelism, Administration, Crisis Care Favorite Bible Verse: Philippians 4:13 “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me” This is my favorite verse because it reminds me that we can do anything as long as Christ is on our side.

Hobbies: Hiking & Exploring Nature , Crafting, Gardening, Reading, Writing, Bible Journaling Personality Traits: Compassionate , Caring, Friendly, hardworking, Organized, Sensitive Gifts: Talented Speaker , Teaching , Evangelism , Singing, Praise & Drama , Organizational Skills Favorite Bible Verse: Proverbs 3:5-6 “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not unto thy own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge Him and He shall direct your paths.” I memorized these verses as a Kid in Sunday School but I didn’t realize how much God knew I would need them. I love these verses because in those difficult times, it reminds me that when I can’t see God’s hand, I can trust His heart. He sees the whole picture and He is writing my story. All of God’s stories have a happy ending.

the Lord gives you rest in Him.

Jeremiah (10yrs)

Hobbies: Reading, Gaming, Sports, Acting & Singing, Telling Jokes, Theater Personality Traits: Outgoing, funny, kind, Favorite Bible Verse: Genesis 1:1 “In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth”. This is my favorite verse because it shows how great God is!

Isaiah (8yrs)

Hobbies: Gaming, Reading, Playing Outside, Hiking and Exploring, Theater Personality Traits: Shy, Hardworking, Kind Favorite Bible Verse: I can’t pick just one! They are all too good to choose.
