You’re Invited!
Ashland Grace Church of the Nazarene is welcoming local artists, students, and children to showcase their artwork during our Masterpiece Weekend. All types of artwork will be accepted, however each piece must follow regulations as detailed below. You may register as an artist by scanning the QR code on the flier.
Registration is 100% free but must be completed by 3/20/22
All artwork will be turned back to the artist unless specified for an alternative purpose.
Regulations:
- All artwork must be family friendly
- All artwork must not be contradictory of Christian Values or Christian Message
- No use of profanity, depictions of alcohol, drug,or controlled substances
- No politically charged messaging may be depicted
Ashland Grace Church of the Nazarene reserves the right to not display any artwork that we feel is not suitable for display in our facility or does not adhere to the guidelines.
Submitted Works Guidelines
- Artwork should be free standing, have the ability to be hung, or displayed on an easel
- Except for sculpture, submitted works may not exceed 24” x 36” or 4” in depth. Submission size limits do not include matting or framing.
- Poetry and Word Art must be framed
- Painting: pigment applied to a two-dimensional surface using oil, acrylic, watercolor, gouache, tempera, ink, encaustic, fresco, spray paint, etc. applied on canvas, canvas board, paper or any flat surface.
- Drawing: original art drawn on a two-dimensional surface using pencil, ink, charcoal, pastel, crayon, scratchboard, marker, etc.
- Printmaking: art made by the process of printing on a flat surface using monotype, collagraph, woodcut/linocut, intaglio, lithography, etching, silkscreen printing, etc.
- Collage: use of various materials such as photographs, paper, or fabric which are cut, arranged, and adhered to a backing.
- Digital Media Art: Digital drawing, digital painting, photo manipulation, digital collage, fractal art, computer generated art.
- Mixed Media: art made from more than one medium, usually with a three-dimensional element using collage, assemblage, cut paper, handmade paper, batik, fiber-based art; fine art books, etc.
- Photography: images captured by either an analog or digital camera and viewed as a print. Examples include: black and white photographs, color photographs, digital or analog photographs, photograms, other experimental photography, etc. Works that are digitally collaged, cloned, layered, merged, distorted, or heavily manipulated with computer
- Sculpture: three-dimensional objects created by building, carving, casting, or other shaping techniques. Materials may include but are not limited to clay, cardboard, metal, acrylic, wood, glass, stone, marble, textiles, and plastics. Size not to exceed 12" x 12" x 24".
